Public policy plays a pivotal role in shaping societies, influencing governmental decisions, and addressing complex challenges that impact the lives of individuals and communities. This workshop aims to highlight the importance of public policy and showcase the myriad of avenues it offers for those passionate about driving positive change.

Through engaging lectures and insightful discussions, this workshop will provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic field of public policy. We have curated a distinguished panel of expert practitioners, renowned academics, and seasoned researchers who will share their real-world experiences in public policy, speaking about their career trajectories and challenges faced therein. They would also discuss the skills and tools required in the field of public policy. They will offer invaluable insights into navigating the field, identifying emerging trends, and making a meaningful impact on policy formulation and implementation. 

The workshop will meditate broadly upon the issues of relevance, skills, challenges and opportunities in the field of public policy as our experts will explore the topic through the following questions: 

1. Relevance: What is the relevance of a career in public policy today, and what kinds of work does one do as a public policy professional? What are the job prospects in public policy in India?
2. Skills: How do you stay updated with the latest developments and trends in public policy, and what resources do you recommend for someone starting in the field? What are the major tools/skills which public policy experts should train themselves, especially in this tech-savvy era?
3. Challenges & Opportunities: What was the career trajectory of the experts in the public policy sphere? What difficulties did they face, and how did they overcome them? How do public policy professionals navigate the intersection between politics and policy-making, and what role does impartiality play in this field?
