Theme:

The dynamism in India’s Foreign Policy is evident in the recent geopolitical transformations caused by COVID–19 and the Russia–Ukraine conflict. As India welcomes the growing reality of a multi-polar world, its confident foreign policy is to aspire to be a leading power, rather than just a balancing power. With a focus on self-reliance, it is ready to shoulder global responsibilities. This was not just demonstrated recently in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations during COVID-19 with Vaccine Maitri with around 100 countries of the world as well but also in food grain assistance to Afghanistan. Along with India’s active participation in important global negotiations, India’s role in peace-keeping and commitment to keep the maritime commons safe and secure is well-established.
Hence, this timely 3-day Course will provide the participants with insights into the trajectory of Indian Foreign Policy, the geopolitical complexities and its dynamism to adapt and even mould global outcomes. This course will be conducted by various expert resource persons comprising eminent academicians, senior researchers, former Indian diplomats, and journalists, who are keen observers and analysts of India’s foreign policy.
