Rituparna Banerjee is a dynamic public policy and development leader with over 18 years at the forefront of government transformation in India. Recognized for delivering landmark reforms, she has engaged stakeholders across 30+ countries, promoted large-scale financial inclusion, and developed robust training platforms that have built the capacity of thousands of officials across the country, and played a pivotal role in the rollout of initiatives like the Street Vendors Act and PM SVANidhi Scheme. Rituparna’s expertise spans writing strategic roadmaps for state programmes and producing influential research on livelihoods, renewable energy, digital health, value chains, and sustainability. She has pioneered cross-sectoral and inter-state partnerships, led the country’s first capacity-building programmes for women elected representatives in Panchayati Raj Institutions in West Bengal, and championed successful women SHG-driven business development models. Her approach is rooted in collaboration, innovation, and a relentless drive for scalable impact that builds institutional capacity and empowers marginalized voices. Rituparna holds an MA in Development Studies (Public Policy), English and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Communication.
