About
Welcome to the much-anticipated “Urban Policy and City Planning – Cohort 2.0,” an immersive learning experience organized by IMPRI Center for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies (CHURS). Following the resounding success of our inaugural cohort, the second edition promises to be an even more enriching and transformative journey into the realms of urban policy and city planning.
The first cohort, “Urban Policy and City Planning,” set a benchmark for excellence, drawing attention to the complex landscape of Indian urbanization and its myriad challenges. From infrastructural inadequacies to issues of sustainable housing and transport, governance deficits, financial fragility, weak local capacity, informality, inequality, and the imperative of climate resilience and adaptation, the course provided a comprehensive exploration of critical urban issues. The success of the inaugural cohort was evident in the positive feedback and accomplishments of our participants, who have since been actively contributing to the field.
Building on the triumphs of Cohort 1.0, Cohort 2.0 aims to elevate the discourse further. Scheduled to take place from July 3 to 25, 2024, this edition will delve even deeper into emerging urban challenges and innovative solutions. Our renowned faculty, consisting of experts in the field, will guide participants through a thoughtfully crafted curriculum that combines theoretical insights with practical applications. Expect interactive sessions, case studies, and collaborative projects that mirror the complexity and dynamism of urban environments.
Join us for Cohort 2.0 and be part of a transformative learning experience that equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to address the pressing issues shaping the future of our cities. Together, let’s explore, analyze, and contribute to the evolving landscape of urban policy and city planning.
