Dr Francis Kuriakose is Visiting Fellow at IMPRI. Francis Kuriakose is an academic and an advisor to Cambridge Development Initiative, United Kingdom. His research examines how the Anthropocene changes work and the emerging rights and justice issues from a law and economics perspective. He has worked at General Electric, Hyderabad and National Institute of Securities Markets, Mumbai, taught at University of Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University, Bharathiar University and has coordinated projects for the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He was also the editor of ‘Dialogue’, an Indo-French magazine for two years. Francis completed his studies from Mahatma Gandhi University, University of Kerala, University of Madras, Pondicherry University, University of Mumbai and National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He has published in Citizenship Studies, Economic & Political Weekly, South Atlantic Quarterly, Higher Education for the Future, Indian Journal of Labour Economics, International Journal of Educational Management, and Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Politics amongst others.
He is a member of the American Economic Association, American Finance Association, and International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights. He has won awards for excellence in teaching and research. Francis also holds a diploma in music theory from Trinity College of Music, London and is a student of violin under the Russian virtuoso, Sevastiana Korotynskaia.
