Dr. Mansee Bal Bhargava is a transdisciplinary learner of sustainability and liveability aspects of the built environment that include architecture-design-development-planning-management-governance. Her twenty-five years of independent practice in entrepreneurship, research and education is focused on large scale residential, recreational, institutional, and industrial developments with inclination towards ecological restoration.

She has deep concerns on the water management in India and is developing her understanding of urban lakes. She has her Masters from CEPT University, MPhil from University of Cambridge and PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam on the subject. She aspires to dedicate herself to the conservation and management of the lakes and ponds. She has written and spoken extensively on the urban lakes. In addition, she is on a mission to inculcate ecological research aptitude and attitude among the youth. Since, she believes that research, as a systematic investigation, must lay the foundation of any collective decision and action in the society.
