Speaker:

Prof A Amarender Reddy, Principal Scientist (Agricultural Economics), ICAR-Centre Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad

Dr.A Amarender Reddy working as Principal scientist (Agricultural Economics) with ICAR-Centre Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad. He was Director at National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad. He has completed his Ph.D. (Agricultural Economics) from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi and joined Agricultural Research Service with Indian Council of Agricultural Economics (ICAR) and posted in ICAR-IIPR, Kanpur in year 2001.

He is mostly engaged in research, consultancy, training in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Marketing in various institutions. Worked as Associate Professor at Administrative Staff College of India(ASC), Hyderabad, as Special Project Scientist (Economics) at ICRISAT, Hyderabad, as Senior Research Officer at Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow and also as Principal Scientist(Agricultural Economics) at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi before joining as Director(M&E) at MANAGE. Prof Reddy was also associated with Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi and also at National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi as Research associate.

He is having about 100 journal articles to his credit. He is a columnist for many news papers on agricultural policies.
