S. Ramakrishna (Rama) Velamuri is Professor and Dean of the School of Management, Mahindra University. He was previously Chengwei Capital Professor of Entrepreneurship at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), on whose faculty he served for nearly 14 years (2007-2021). At CEIBS, he taught courses on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategic Negotiation. During his tenure at CEIBS, he taught thousands of Chinese entrepreneurs and executives from state-owned enterprises (SOEs), Chinese private companies and multinationals operating in China. At CEIBS, he discharged a number of administrative responsibilities such as Chair of the Research Committee, Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department, and Academic Director of the Global EMBA program. He was also on the faculty of IESE Business School in Spain for four years (2003-2007) and has been a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Bocconi University, and the International Anti-Corruption Academy Austria.
He has been a facilitator in executive education programs for senior managers of Michelin, Tencent, China Development Bank, Air Liquide, Roche, Evonik, SASAC (which manages the central state-owned enterprises in China), Shandong Gold, Kangshifu, Bosch, UNICEF, Henkel Adhesives Technologies, Abbott Laboratories, Goodyear-Dunlop, and Vodafone, etc. He has also been a facilitator in the China Entrepreneurial Leadership Camp for high-growth Chinese entrepreneurs and the CEO Collaborative Forum for high-growth European entrepreneurs.
His research has been published in leading academic and practitioner journals and has received more than 4,200 Google Scholar citations. He has published approximately 50 teaching case studies, most of which are available through Harvard Business School Publishing, Ivey Publishing, and CEIBS Publishing. Three of his case studies have won awards and several have been on best-seller lists.
He has written for, given interviews to, and been quoted in a number of international and national media outlets such as Inc magazine (USA), Financial Times UK, PBS, LA Times, Seattle Times, SF Gate, Times of India, Economic Times, The Hindu, Financial Express, Hindustan Times, Outlook Business, Business Today, BusinessLine, Caixin Global, Global Times, China Daily, La Vanguardia, Actualidad Economica and others. He served on the 2019 and 2020 Advisory Councils of the CNBC Disruptor 50, to select the 50 most disruptive private companies in the world.
Dr. Velamuri worked for six years (1985-1991) as a manager in Grupo Tudor, which was one of Spain’s largest manufacturing companies until it was acquired in 1994. He also worked for eight years (1991-1999) as a full-time consultant based in Madrid, serving US, Indian and Spanish clients.

Nilanjan Banik currently work as a Professor at Mahindra University, India. He is also an Academic Consultant with Geneva Network, United Kingdom; Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea; and until recently a Senior Consultant with Tata Trust, India. He earned his Phd in Economics from Utah State University, USA and a Master of Economics from Delhi School of Economics, India. Prof. Banik works focus on the application of time series econometrics in issues relating to international trade, market structure and development economics.
Prof. Banik has project experience with Geneva Network, United Kingdom, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australia; Laffer Associates, USA; Ministry of Commerce, Government of India; RIS, New Delhi; ICRIER, New Delhi; Center for Economic Policy Research, UK; ADB, Manila; SANEI; UNESCAP-ARTNeT, Copenhagen Consensus (India Consensus), Denmark; and World Trade Organization, Geneva. He has published in academic journal of repute and contributing regularly in national and international media.
