Dr M Dinesh Kumar
Executive Director, Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy (IRAP), Hyderabad
Dr M Dinesh Kumar is Executive Director of Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy in Hyderabad, an Indian think-tank on water management founded by him in 2008. He works on water, agriculture and energy related issues. He is the author of nearly 240 research publications, including seven books, eight edited volumes and several international, peer-reviewed journal articles.
He is currently also Associate Editor of Water Policy and Member of the Editorial Board of Int. Journal of Water Resources Development. Dr Kumar regularly offers consultancy services to many international agencies, including the World, FAO, US AID, UNDP and Australian Council for International Agricultural Research; and many national and state government agencies. Dr Kumar holds a degree in Civil Engineering (B-Tech), Masters’ degree in Water Resources Management and a Ph. D in water management.
