Sudheesh Venkatesh, Chief People Officer, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru

Sudheesh is the Chief People Officer of Azim Premji Foundation and serves on the Board of Management of Azim Premji University. The Foundation is powered by a $ 21 billion endowment by Mr.Azim Premji and works to improve the quality of elementary education of the under-privileged children in India.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2010, Sudheesh was Head of Human Resources for Tesco, India. He started his career with Asian Paints. He is currently the Regional President (South) of the National HRD Network and serves on its National Board. He is often invited to speak and write on education & people matters. He co-edited the Jan 2018 National HRD Network journal on ‘Education, Employability & Employment – the triple challenge for India’. Sudheesh is an engineer and did his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.’
