Ms. Smita Singh is an award-winning international health promotion expert with two decades of experience in social impact, in under-served and low-income settings, with a focus on improving health and health equity. Her area of work underpins human centered and behavioural focused solutions to improve health outcomes and believes that communities need to be engaged in all the processes around health system designing and delivery. Her thematic expertise lies in maternal and child health, nutrition, immunisation, gender, HIV/AIDS, reproductive and sexual health, WASH, education, digital health, and at- scale innovation. She is also a doctoral researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology-Patna, where her research focuses on the use of nudge to increase handwashing with soap among parents and caregivers of under two-year-old children, to reduce childhood diarrheal prevalence and related morbidities.
