Graduation with Philosophy (Hons) and Economics, Masters in Philosophy; Joined the IAS in 1980; served in Kerala state as Sub Collector (Ottappalam), District Collector (Pathanamthitta & Thiruvananthapuram), Secretary, Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary in various departments that include Agriculture, Social Welfare, Industries, Energy and Renewable Energy, Administrative Reforms, Revenue and Home. Also served as Deputy Secretary, Director and Joint Secretary in Govt of india. Part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo for 5 years.
