Women’s Rights, Laws and Policies in India

The three-day immersive online legal awareness and certificate training programme on “Women’s Rights, Laws and Policies in India”, organised by IMPRI Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi took place on September 1, 2022 to September 3, 2022. The event was chaired by Prof Vibhuti Patel . Inaugurating the session Ms Tripta Behera, a researcher at IMPRI, welcomed the speakers and participants to the program with an introduction to the eminent panellists.

A consultative workshop was organized by IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute in collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), India Office on Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP): Exploring India’s Position at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on October 17, 2022. The workshop began with Dr Simi Mehta giving a brief background of the event, the theme, and the experts for the event. She mentioned that FFP is gaining ground as a result of peacebuilding and peacemaking measures around the world by transnational feminist solidarity.

The four-day Online Monsoon School Programme on the theme “Feminist Foreign Policy: Praxis for a Peaceful and Gender Just World Order” is a joint initiative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) India Office and the Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi, which ran for the entire month of September with four weekly sessions, starting from the 9th September, 2022 and concurring on the 30th September, 2022 with the last session. Under the series, The State of the Economy - #EconDialogue, Center for the Study of Finance and Economics (CSFE), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi organized #WebPolicyTalk, a distinguished lecture on the topic India’s Macroeconomic Resilience amidst Global Fragility: Facts, Factors and Forecasts, by Dr Deepak Mishra on August 24, 2022. Dr Deepak Mishra is the Director and Chief Executive of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi. The session was chaired by Dr Rafiq Dossani, Director, RAND Center for Asia Pacific Policy, a Senior Economist and the Professor of Policy Analysis, Pardee RAND Graduate School.
