About
The Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi, in collaboration with its knowledge partner, the Center for Ethics (CFE), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, is pleased to invite you to the upcoming #WebPolicyLearning initiative—An Online International Autumn School Program: A Four-Day Immersive Online Certificate Training Course on Care Perspectives and Praxis.
Held over four consecutive Tuesday evenings, this thoughtfully curated program seeks to unpack the multifaceted dimensions of care—spanning from the ethics of dignity and individual rights to the everyday realities of caregiving in institutional and community settings. Through critical and empathetic engagements, the sessions will explore care for neurodiverse individuals, persons with physical and mental health challenges, the elderly, and those in end-of-life contexts. Addressing systemic issues such as caregiver burnout and the dichotomy between institutional and family-based care, this training aims to foster a deeper understanding of care as both a personal responsibility and a public policy concern.
The theme Care Perspectives and Praxis underscores the need to reimagine care not merely as a private or emotional act, but as a structural and political issue—central to justice, dignity, and inclusive development. As societies navigate rising inequalities, aging populations, and mental health crises, this program offers a timely space to reflect, learn, and act on care as a foundational ethic and everyday practice in policy and life.

This program is ideal for students, researchers, practitioners, caregivers, and professionals in the fields of gender, health, social work, public policy, and allied areas who seek to engage with care as a rights-based and policy-relevant practice.
