About:
The purpose of this training course is to encourage the participants to initiate a dialogue on the fundamentals and core values of feminist theory. It will strengthen feminist consciousness and solidarity and provide a basic understanding of feminist concepts along with opportunities to link with feminist campaigns. By shedding the common misconceptions of feminism, it will highlight the core values and inclusive nature of feminism. The structure includes sessions on understanding the intersectionalities of feminism and social justice and transformative change at personal and societal levels.
By studying the emergence of the feminist movement, the revolution it brought, its essential arguments and counter-arguments, and its future discourse, the participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the different facets of feminism and its advocacy. The feminist ideology proposes not just equality but also equity, exploring its intersections with economics, political, social and cultural aspects of society, which will be tackled in the course. The course will also build an understanding of feminism, and feminist movements and link gender to other structures and systems in society within a global framework.

Students and young professionals from women and gender studies, law, sociology, arts, sciences or any other background interested in knowing basics about the feminism and gender.
