Focusing on the theme “People-Centric Cities,” the Urban Policy and City Planning – Cohort 3.0 is a one-month immersive online certificate training course that offers an introductory yet comprehensive understanding of urban development and governance. Organized by the IMPRI Center for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies (CHURS), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi, as part of its flagship #WebPolicyLearning initiative, this international monsoon school brings together leading experts and practitioners to explore how cities can be planned, designed, and managed to center the needs and voices of people.
As urban areas become central to development narratives, this program provides a timely platform to explore inclusive and sustainable planning strategies that prioritize equity, participation, and resilience. Through expert-led lectures, case-based discussions, and interactive engagements, participants will gain interdisciplinary insights into key urban issues such as mobility, affordable housing, solid waste management, gendered experiences of cities, climate resilience, and more.
