The Data in Practice: Hands-on Analysis Program is a three-week immersive online program designed to bridge the gap between data theory and real-world application. Participants will engage in interactive, hands-on sessions that build practical skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and interpretation of results. The program emphasizes learning by doing:
Probability distributions: Density and Cumulative (EXCEL-based Session)
How to draw these functions; What we can infer from the shape; Real world application, for instance, Income Distribution Function, Dependent versus Independent Variable; Concept of Correlation and Multiple Regression; T and F-Statistics
Introduction of ANOVA (EXCEL-based Session)
Sum of Squares: Total, Explained and Residual; Minimum Sum of Squares; Hypothesis Testing; One tail and Two tail test with Data; Interpreting Statistical Significance; P-Value and Critical Value
Interpretation of Model (this Session will be using EVIEWS)
Introducing EVIEWS; Loading data in EVIEWS and running Regression; Interpreting the results; Deviation from the Classical Linear Regression Function; Check for Autocorrelation, Multicollinearity, and Heteroscedasticity

Tools
Excel: Visualizing distributions, performing ANOVA, and running basic statistical calculations
EVIEWS: Loading datasets, running regressions, checking for autocorrelation, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity; interpreting regression outputs.

Key Highlights: Hands-on learning of probability distributions and their interpretation; Exploring correlation, multiple regression, and hypothesis testing; Introduction to ANOVA and model significance testing; Regression modeling and diagnostics using EVIEWS; Applying statistical insights to real-world data scenarios.

This program is ideal for early-career professionals, researchers, analysts, and students who want to build a strong foundation in data analysis. It is also suitable for individuals seeking to strengthen their quantitative skills for policy research, business analytics, social sciences, and economics. No prior expertise in advanced statistics is required, but familiarity with Excel will enhance the learning experience.

Upon successful completion of the program, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
