About

Welcome to the next chapter of our transformative journey – “Understanding the Nuances of Climate Change in the Indian Subcontinent: Cohort 3.0,” an exceptional learning experience organized by the IMPRI  Center for Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainable Development (CECCSD). Following the resounding success of our inaugural cohort, themed “Understanding the Nuances of Climate Change in the Indian Subcontinent: Impact and Way Forward,” we are thrilled to announce the second edition, scheduled to unfold from July 10 – Aug 14, 2026.

In the Anthropocene epoch, the paramount force shaping global geopolitics is undeniably Climate Change. The Indian subcontinent, with its diverse geographical tapestry, faces unique challenges stemming from the intricacies of this phenomenon. The first cohort delved into the multifaceted impacts of climate change on the region, highlighting vulnerabilities arising from population density, poverty, and dependence on agriculture and natural resources. The overwhelming success of the inaugural program reinforced our commitment to addressing these challenges comprehensively.

Cohort 3.0 goes beyond understanding the nuances; it orchestrates a collaborative effort to chart sustainable pathways for the Indian subcontinent. In a span of two-months, from July 10 – Aug 14, 2026, participants will engage in a dynamic learning environment that combines theoretical insights with practical strategies. The course will explore innovative solutions and adaptive measures, fostering resilience and sustainability in the face of escalating climate challenges.

The IMPRI CECCSD invites you to be part of this imperative initiative. Together, let’s delve into the intricacies of climate change dynamics in the Indian subcontinent, seeking not only understanding but actionable strategies for a sustainable and resilient future. Join us in this symphony of sustainability, where knowledge transforms into tangible solutions.
