NHB Refinance Scheme (2016): Boosting Affordable Housing Construction in India

The National Housing Bank (NHB), through its Refinance Scheme for Construction Finance for Affordable Housing, aims to enhance the supply of affordable housing across India. This initiative provides concessional refinance support to Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs) like Scheduled Commercial Banks and Housing Finance Companies, enabling them to extend construction finance to agencies engaged in affordable housing projects (NHB, n.d.).

Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (2011)- Empowering Women Farmers

SWAMIH Fund II (2019): Reviving Stalled Housing Projects in India

The SWAMIH (Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing) Investment Fund was initiated by the Government of India in November 2019 to resolve the problem of stalled housing projects that were financially viable but were starved of last-mile funding. The fund is supervised by SBICAP Ventures Ltd, the subsidiary of the State Bank of India, and supported by the Ministry of Finance.
