About:

IMPRI has a rich history of organizing events on feminism, having successfully conducted two previous events: “FEMINISM: Fundamentals, Facets & Future” in 2023 and “Feminism and the Global Social Transformation” in 2022. Building on this momentum, we are excited to announce our upcoming event in 2024: The IMPRI Gender Impact Studies Centre’s online international winter school program on “Feminism: Theory and Praxis.” This program is dedicated to delving deep into the multifaceted realm of feminism.

Throughout the program, participants will have the invaluable opportunity to explore the rich tapestry of feminist thought, spanning from its historical origins to contemporary manifestations. Topics will encompass various feminist movements, intersectionality, the pivotal role of feminism in addressing global challenges, and strategies for gender-inclusive policymaking.

What sets this program apart is its strong emphasis on the practical application of feminist principles. Participants will gain actionable insights into how feminist theory can effectively translate into real-world action, both at the individual and societal levels. Our aim is to empower participants with the knowledge and tools they need to actively contribute to dismantling gender-based inequalities and fostering more inclusive and equitable societies.

In essence, the IMPRI Gender Impact Studies Centre’s winter school program on feminism offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for anyone interested in comprehending, engaging with, and championing the ideals of feminism. It represents a valuable opportunity for personal growth and meaningful contributions to social impact. Join us in this journey towards a more equitable world.
