About
Cohort 3 of the IMPRI Gender Impact Studies Centre’s Online International Winter School on Gender and Mental Health brings a unique focus on the strength-based approach to mental well-being. This innovative program, running from February 13-15, 2024, is crafted to provide a platform where global perspectives meet to discuss resilience, empowerment, and inclusivity in mental health care.
The Winter School invites participants to explore foundational concepts in the strength-based approach, emphasizing resilience as a pathway to mental wellness. Leading experts will share insights on the impact of social and cultural determinants, novel rehabilitation techniques, and the evolution of mental health accessibility over the past three decades. Participants will also have the chance to learn about trans-affirmative and disability-responsive best practices, aiming to develop skills for inclusive care that celebrates individual strengths.
This program welcomes mental health professionals, academics, and advocates alike to engage in meaningful dialogue. By embracing the diversity of experiences, this Winter School fosters a community dedicated to advancing strength-based, gender-sensitive approaches in mental health that support holistic well-being for all.

For Whom
Young professionals engaged in mental health discipline, students and common citizens interested in knowing basics about the situation relating to mental health and how gender is a key determinant of the same, how the domain of mental health can take into account the experiences of women.
