About
The IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC) presents Women’s Sexual & Reproductive Health – Cohort 3.0, organised on the occasion of International Safe Abortion Day. This Three-Day Immersive Online Certificate Training Course under the #WebPolicyLearning initiative will be held from 28–30 September 2026.
Sexual and reproductive health is central to gender equality, dignity, and public health. However, millions of women continue to face barriers in accessing affordable, quality, and confidential healthcare services. Challenges such as limited reproductive choices, unsafe abortion practices, maternal health risks, menstrual stigma, inadequate sexuality education, and discrimination based on class, caste, location, disability, or age continue to shape unequal outcomes. In many settings, women’s bodily autonomy and decision-making remain constrained by social norms, misinformation, and weak health systems. This autumn school creates a space to critically examine these issues through the lenses of law, policy, healthcare systems, and lived realities.
The program will bring together doctors, legal experts, researchers, activists, and policymakers for engaging sessions on reproductive rights, maternal health, contraception, menstrual health, safe abortion access, adolescent health, and inclusive healthcare systems. It offers participants valuable insights into advancing women’s health rights and gender justice.
