Human Rights & LGBTQIA+ Community in India

IMPRI Centre for Human Dignity and Development, IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi, conducted Law and Public Policy Youth Fellowship – Cohort 2.0 Winter’23 on the theme: Promoting Human Rights and Ending Gender-Based Violence. The session was held on the  Occasion of Human Rights Day. December 10th 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). On day 4 the second session was marked by special lecture by Dr Aqsa Shaikh, Associate Professor, Community Medicine, Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, New Delhi on LGBTQIA+ Community in India.

Global Serenity & Universal Kindness

Merry does not quite gel with Christmas this year, but Christmas is, indeed, a time to wish for peace.

In a year in which war wracks Palestine, in a corner of which is situated Bethlehem, believed to be the birthplace of Christ, merry and Christmas do not quite gel together. Peace on earth, goodwill to all – goes another epiphany, long associated with Christmas. That is probably more apposite this year.
