About
The EGBVF – Ending Gender-Based Violence Fellowship: Cohort 2.0 is a three-month online immersive certificate training course under the #WebPolicyLearning initiative by the Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC) at IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi. As part of its Autumn School offerings, this national-level program builds upon the impactful learnings of its inaugural cohort and strives to deepen understanding, strengthen networks, and advance action against gender-based violence (GBV) in India.
Anchored in the theme “Strategic Responses Towards Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence,” the program explores historical, legal, institutional, and community-centered responses to GBV. Through expert-led sessions, it critically engages with the women’s rights movement, legislative and judicial interventions, community-based action, international frameworks, ethical practices, and survivor support systems. The curriculum further includes discussions on gender-responsive medical and forensic protocols, media strategy, anti-trafficking responses, and evolving roles of men in addressing GBV.
Designed for students, researchers, practitioners, activists, and development professionals, this fellowship offers an interdisciplinary and praxis-oriented platform to build knowledge, skills, and strategies for transformative gender justice.
