About:
Join IMPRI’s Gender Impact Studies Centre in January 2025 for an insightful journey through the history and evolution of feminist movements with “FEMINISM: From Suffrage to Social Media – Reflections on the Four Waves”. This three-day immersive online certificate training course is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the four major waves of feminism, tracing the movement from the early suffrage campaigns to the digital activism of today.
Through a carefully curated series of lectures, workshops, and discussions, attendees will explore key moments, challenges, and achievements in each wave of feminism. The course will address the foundations of women’s rights, the fight for equality, the complexities of intersectionality, and the role of digital platforms in shaping contemporary feminist discourse. Participants will gain valuable insights into how feminist advocacy has transformed across generations and continues to evolve in response to modern-day issues and technological advances.
This program emphasizes interactive learning, encouraging participants to engage with global experts, collaborate with like-minded peers, and critically reflect on the applications of feminist principles today.
