LPPYF Law and Public Policy Youth Fellowship

IMPRI (Impact and Policy Research Institute), based in New Delhi, is proud to introduce its dynamic and forward-thinking program, the Law and Public Policy Youth Fellowship (LPPYF). Designed to span two enriching months during the upcoming summer, this fellowship is dedicated to delving into the intricate interplay of social, legal, and policy issues. LPPYF's mission is to provide an immersive learning experience that bridges social and legal perspectives. Throughout the program, fellows will have the invaluable opportunity to explore various dimensions of law and policies, receive training in legal methodologies, engage in hands-on action research in the field for two weeks, and ultimately prepare a comprehensive report based on their findings. Importantly, participants will have the chance to interact with a multitude of legal, thematic, and distinguished public policy experts.

India’s Potential to Foster a Resolution in the Israel-Palestine Conflict

The October 7 attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians were widely condemned. Except for a few countries like Iran, which also distanced itself, most Arab countries were disconcerted and uncomfortable. Israel's right to defend itself was broadly acknowledged. But growing cruelty, continued bombardment, the siege of Gaza and disruption and denial of essential supplies with rampant death and destruction of Palestinians have dented the sympathy for Israel. This was also evident in the statements of Israel’s close friends, including the United States. President Joe Biden dashed for an awkward day-long visit to express his unstinting support to Benjamin Netanyahu with all the moral and material supplies in abundance.

An informative and interactive valedictory session was taken by Shri Surendranath Tripathi, retired IAS Officer and Director General of the Indian Institute of Public Administration based in New Delhi.

LPPYF Law and Public Policy Youth Fellowship is an Online National Summer School Program, a Two- Month Online Immersive Legal Awareness & Action Research Certificate Training Course and Internship Program, from June-August 2023 by IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute. An informative and interactive panel discussion on “Consumer Rights” was held by Adv. Dr. Shalu Nigam, an Advocate, Author, Researcher under the themes of Gender and Human Rights and visiting senior fellow at IMPRI.
