Migration and Rights to City

Urban Policy & City Planning is an online one-month online immersive certificate training course organized by Center for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies at Impact and Policy Research Institute, IMPRI, New Delhi in the month of July 2023. An informative panel discussion on the topic “Migration and Rights to City” was held on July 19, 2023, by Prof R B Bhagat, Former Professor and Head, Department of Migration & Urban Studies, International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai.

Hands-on Data Learning Session-Probability distributions: Density and Cumulative

Second session of Day 1 was taken by Prof Nilajan Banik, he started by giving an overview about what all he will be covering in the course. The first Hands on data learning session includes topics of probability, density and distribution function along with its interpretations and realworld applications. Datasets were shared with the participants for practice. He also explained how to conclude and find values for “T” test and ideology of why and what we do in these tests along with there relevance.

Enhancing Application of Numerical Literacy and Data in Public Policy Applications in India

Emphasising on the need to create awareness on data Generation Alpha Data Center (GenAlphaDC), IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi, organized A Two-Month Immersive Online Hands-On Certificate Training Course on Data, Monitoring and Evaluation spanning over eight consecutive Saturdays from June 3,2023 to July 22 ,2023. Along with this, datasets for hands-on learning were also provided for data analysis and learning.

Affordable Rental Housing Scheme (ARHC): State of Play

The Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHC) scheme was introduced in July 2020 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana—Urban (PMAY-U). The reverse migration brought on by the COVID pandemic-induced lockdown is what brought attention to ARHC’s mission to provide rental homes for the urban poor and migrants. The PMAY-U mission phase and the ARHC plan both end in March 2022. This article evaluates the present condition of the plan’s implementation—its evolving modalities, stakeholder participation, and current status—given its significance as India’s first national rental housing scheme with only a few months left to call for bids and award projects.
