The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, launched a new grant opportunity in 2020-21 called the M K BHAN – Young Researcher Fellowship Programme (MKB-YRFP).
The DBT-BUILDER programme, launched by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, is a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening and modernizing life science education and research infrastructure in Indian universities. Recognizing that universities are critical hubs for capacity building, BUILDER provides financial and infrastructural support to create interdisciplinary departments in life sciences, thereby encouraging innovation and collaborative research.
The Biotechnology Sector Growth Strategy (2021–2025) was launched by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India established in 1986 with the vision to transform India into a global bio-manufacturing and innovation hub. The Himalayan ecosystem is one of the largest resources of snow and ice and remains a vulnerable ecosystem due to the consequences of climate change and developmental issues.
