Small enterprises need a rating agency to rate big companies that treat them like dirt. And that rating impact the big company's reputation, credit-rating score and ESG rating. The rating agency should also rate GoI and state governments for revealed, as opposed to claimed, ease of doing business, depending on how fairly government departments and state-owned enterprises transact with small companies.

Dr. Shalu Nigam, visiting senior fellow at IMPRI, an advocate, an author, and a researcher. It was an extension to the session on Navigating Criminal Justice I delivered earlier during the fellowship program.

Fostering India-Japan Tech Diplomacy

India and Japan, in July 2023, agreed to collaborate on semiconductors in a bid to create a more resilient supply chain for this critical technology and work together for the joint development of the semiconductor ecosystem. The partnership will focus on five areas: ‘semiconductor design, manufacturing, equipment research, establishing resilience in the semiconductor supply chain, and talent development’, paving the way for government-to-government and industry-to-industry collaborations.
