Aajeevika- National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), 2011

Back in June 2011, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, launched the Aajeevika- Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). It is one of the flagship programs to alleviate poverty, which aims to reduce poverty by enabling poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in sustainable and diversified livelihood options for the poor.

National Social Assistance Programme 1995: Ensuring Social Security for the Vulnerable

The Government of India established the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) on August 15, 1995, as a fully funded, centrally sponsored scheme to develop a national policy for social assistance for those living in poverty. To guarantee basic national standards for social assistance and the benefits that the states currently offer or may offer in the future, NSAP is administered by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). It also seeks to ensure that social protection for beneficiaries everywhere in the country is uniformly available.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, which implies "One India, Best India," is an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2015. The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative was launched on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary to honour his crucial role in integrating India. He helped bring together over 562 princely states into one nation. EBSB aims to promote cultural exchange and national unity.EBSB promotes cultural exchanges, language learning, and shared celebrations to strengthen the national identity. The initiative was officially launched on October 31, 2016, showcasing the strong support of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
