Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) Scheme,2021 for Education Reform in India Explained

STARS is a program to support reform to improve the quality and governance of school education in six states, namely, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Kerala. It became effective on 23rd February 2021 for a period of five years, ending in the financial year 2024-25. The total project cost is Rs. 5718 crore, with a loan from the World Bank of Rs. 3700 crore. It is a centrally sponsored scheme under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. The objective of the scheme is to improve education outcomes and school-to-work transition strategies for improved labour market outcomes, which is aligned with the objective of the National Education Policy 2020 of Quality-Based Learning Outcomes. The Program is carved out of Samagra Shiksha.

Aajeevika- National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), 2011

Back in June 2011, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, launched the Aajeevika- Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).
