Building on the success of our inaugural cohort, we are pleased to announce the second edition of the Data Analytics for Policy Research Fellowship (DAPRF). This program is meticulously designed to equip policymakers, researchers, and data professionals with advanced analytical skills crucial for informed decision-making in today’s data-driven landscape.
In this comprehensive course, participants will move beyond theoretical learning and receive rigorous, hands-on training in data analytics. Led by seasoned instructors, the fellowship covers a broad array of analytical methods, statistical tools, and data visualization techniques widely applied in policy research. Key platforms and methodologies include ANOVA, Stata, Regression Analysis, Econometrics, Forecasting, Survey Data Analysis, EViews, Data Visualization, Spatial Data (GIS, Arc GIS), Excel-based analysis, Monitoring & Evaluation, and others essential for policy insights.
Participants will also undertake practical, real-world projects that allow them to apply their skills to complex policy issues. Each fellow will complete and present a data project, guided by our experts, with an opportunity for publication in an ISBN-edited volume.

Data-Driven Project and Research Publication
Learning Data Analytics Techniques
The first half of the fellowship is dedicated to learning data analytics techniques. Fellows will receive instructions on hands-on data learning tools and be provided with data sets for practice. This phase ensures that participants develop a solid foundation in data analytics.
Application and Project Development
The second phase of the fellowship focuses on the application of the techniques and tools learned during the program. Fellows are required to work on a project of their choice, guided by experts. This part includes project concept submission, topic finalization, project refinement, and project progress discussions, allowing fellows to apply their knowledge in a practical context.
Project Presentation and Research Essay
The final part of the fellowship includes the presentation of projects by the fellows. These data projects will serve as the foundation for a subsequent research essay. Participants will be guided on how to get their reports published on IMPRI Insights and in other renowned newspapers, magazines, and journals. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to publish their reports in IMPRI’s edited book with an ISBN.
