Catalyzing India’s Research Revolution: A Policy Analysis of Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF), 2018

Since its announcement in the Union Budget 2018–19, the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) has stood at the forefront of India’s effort to nurture a world-class research ecosystem by attracting top domestic talent into doctoral studies.  Conceived as a response to both the country’s growing demand for high-quality research and concerns over “brain drain,” PMRF offers one of the most generous stipend-and-grant packages in India’s higher-education landscape. 

Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (2021): India’s Integrated Policy for Elderly Care and Empowerment

While people are living longer than ever before due to improvements in life expectancy and health care delivery, such trends in aging raise multifaceted issues, including financial insecurity, social isolation, and the loss of family support as the structure of the joint family breaks down. In response, the Government of India launched the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) in April 2021, a revised National Action Plan for Senior Citizens. Implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, AVYAY is an umbrella program aimed at protecting the health, dignity, and empowerment of the elderly.

Comprehensive Analysis of East Delhi Hub Integrated Development, Karkardooma 2019

East Delhi Hub is conceptualized to be a new Transit Oriented Development (TOD) that imbibes the core values of a sustainable “Smart City”. This is the flagship project being designed with NBCC (India) Limited. NBCC aims to create integrated urban spaces with residential, working, and leisure spaces within walking distance of each other and public transport. It is aimed at improving self-sustainability, encouraging public transport and walking and optimising density.

Revising MOPRI’s CSS for 2022-2026: Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA)

With an emphasis on reimagining Panchayati Raj Institutions as dynamic hubs of local self-governance and economic growth, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj Institutions was redesigned for implementation from April 2022 to March 2026. This approach focused on localising the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the grassroots level using a thematic approach through coordinated and cooperative efforts of Central Ministries and State line departments with a 'whole of Government' approach at all levels.
