“Monsoon Convection, Clouds, And Climate Change” Scheme, 2021

The Monsoon Convection, Clouds, and Climate Change (MC4) scheme is one of seven sub-schemes that make up the Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services (ACROSS) scheme. It aims to improve our understanding of the monsoon, clouds, and climate change. It was previously an autonomous sub-scheme, however it has now been integrated into the ACROSS scheme, which also includes two new sub-schemes, namely - the Physics and Dynamics of Tropical Clouds (PDTC) and the Centre for Climate Change Research.

Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration(SPARC), 2018: Strengthening India’s global research footprint

The scheme for promotion of academic and research collaboration is a flagship initiative launched in August 2018 by the Ministry of Education. Officially coordinated by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, the basic idea behind the scheme was to improve the research ecosystem in Indian higher educational institutions.

Scholarship Scheme: National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS), 2008

National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme is a central sector scheme announced by the former Finance Minister, P Chidambaram, in the 2007-08 annual budget. The Ministry responsible for the scheme's functioning is the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education. This scheme provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged students to prevent dropouts after class VIII and encourage continued education.
