Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) 2023

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), addresses the carbon costs paid by EU that adhere to the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). This experiment is a step towards climate change regulation to tackle carbon leakage. There is a chance of so-called "carbon leakage" as the EU increases its own climate ambition and as long as many non- EU nations continue to have less restrictive climate policies.

Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman 2021 (PM POSHAN)

PM POSHAN earlier known as the National Programme of mid-day meal in schools is one of the foremost rights based centrally sponsored schemes under the National Food security act, 2013 (NFSA). It provides one hot cooked meal to all school children studying in classes I-VIII in government and government-aided schools. The scheme covers about 11.8 crore children studying in 11.2 lakh schools across the country. The scheme is proposed to be extended to students studying in pre-primary or Balvatikas. The concept of Tithi Bhojan will be encouraged extensively. Tithi Bhojan is a community participation programme in which people provide special food to children on special occasions/festivals. 

Strategic Intervention for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Programme

The Strategic Intervention for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Programme is designed to incentivize the supply side of green hydrogen production through financial incentives aimed at the domestic manufacturing of electrolyzers and green hydrogen production. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), through the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), is tasked with implementing this scheme.
