Prof. (Dr.) Sas. Biswas has over 50 years of experience in research, education, public awareness and training activities in forestry and allied subjects.
• Currently Dr Biswas is Professor & Head in the faculty of the Department of Forestry of Dolphin Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
•Formerly, he headed the Forest Botany Department of world-famous Forest Research Institute (Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education), Dehradun, India. He has been associated with several forestry and educational institutions of Karnataka and Kerala.
Dr Biswas has been Fellow of Food & Agriculture Organization [FAO] of United Nations, Consultant of United Nations Development Programme [UNDP]-National Biodiversity Authority-Government of India. Worked as Biodiversity Consultant of World Bank led project on Sustainable Land and Ecosystem Management in Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education and subject specific contribution.
During the Covid-19 period of over 12 months he with his Team Forestry organized 14 webinar seminar at international and national levels institutionally and jointly.
He has been a Visiting Professor in different forestry and educational institutions. Prof. Biswas has over 150 publications to his credit, besides over 30 subject-specific YouTube channels under “Sas. Biswas” and “ Dr. Sas. Biswas” on dendrology and Storytelling on different aspects of field biology and forestry related topics.
