BACKGROUND

As per PLFS Annual Report 2025, Youth (age 15-29) unemployment rate has declined 9.9% in 2025 from 10.3% in 2024, While the manufacturing sector improved from 11.6% to 12.1% in 2025, still leave a substantial gap between the size of India's workforce entering the labour market each year and the pace of formal job creation.
