India’s Deep Tech Fund of Funds (2025): Catalyzing Innovation in Emerging Technologies

The Indian government launched a ₹10,000 crore Fund of Funds in Union Budget 2025 to concentrate on deep-tech startups as part of its mission to enhance sectors including artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, biotechnology and semiconductors. This program seeks to establish India as a worldwide frontier technology leader through the provision of initial stage funding and innovation networks development.

The Central Vista Redevelopment Project is a landmark program that brought modernization to India's 86-year-old administrative complex. Spanning ₹20,000 crores in expenditure and a duration of seven years (2019-2026), the project seeks to rehouse government offices, upgrade structural weaknesses in historic buildings, and design effective, eco-friendly administrative spaces with all heritage concerns kept intact.

Ministry of Communications 2016 – An Introduction

The Ministry of Communications is a Central Ministry under the Government of India that handles telecommunications and postal services. It was carved out of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on 19th July, 2016. It consists of two departments: the Department of Telecommunications and the Department of Posts. The Department of Telecommunications is also known as the Door Sanchar Vibhag. It concerns itself with policy, licensing and coordination matters including telegraphs, telephones, wireless, data, facsimile and telematic services. Its objectives include providing e-infrastructure for the delivery of e-services, promotion of electronics hardware manufacturing, implementation of research and development frameworks, providing support for the development of e-skills and knowledge networks, securing India’s cyber space and enhancing India’s role in internet governance globally.

Security and Growth for All in the Region, (SAGAR) 2015

SAGAR, stands for Strategic and Growth for all in the region, was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12, 2015, during his address to the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA)  The initiative emerged from India's recognition of the strategic importance of the Indian Ocean Region to its national security and economic interests, as well as the need for a coordinated approach to addressing maritime challenges.

Aajeevika- National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), 2011

Back in June 2011, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, launched the Aajeevika- Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). It is one of the flagship programs to alleviate poverty, which aims to reduce poverty by enabling poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in sustainable and diversified livelihood options for the poor.
