The willingness of the US to provide India some technology without expecting reciprocity is gratifying. But is it not one-sided, with India getting technologies it has not been able to develop by itself?
Recently, I happened to attend the 6th Indian Ocean conference ,2023 in Dhaka which was organized by the India Foundation in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs of India and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh among others.

Diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits are merely a few of the electrical devices that use semiconductors in their manufacturing process. Due to their portability, dependability, energy efficiency, and affordability, these gadgets are widely used in today’s world.
After much deliberation, consulting, feedbacks and review the Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO) launched “Indian Space Policy 2023” which provides the much-needed impetus to Indian space sector, stimulating greater investments and participation of the private sector within the space economy.
It was a dream of former Prime Minister (PM) Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who first envisaged opening an alternate sea route through Myanmar for the northeastern part of India in 2003. Bangladesh at that time was very non-committal on transit to India. The Ministry of external affairs (MEA) appointed the public sector consultancy company RITES to do a study in 2003. The operationalisation of Sittwe Port's new terminal was the beginning of the journey.
On May 11, 1998, India declared itself a nuclear weapon state by conducting a series of tests in the Thar desert. Under Jawaharlal Nehru and Homi Bhabha, India laid the foundation of an elaborate nuclear science programme in 1948, just a year after its Independence. Prime Minister (PM) Indira Gandhi conducted a peaceful nuclear explosion in May 1974. Yet, India took almost five decades to embrace nuclear weapons. No other country in the nuclear age gestated on its nuclear weapon-making potential for so long.
Artificial intelligence can break down language barriers between Indian innovators in cultural production and their potential audiences around the world
