Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS)

Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is a vocational program designed to increase employability and foster entrepreneurship which is managed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in India. The initiative began in the year 1950 ,which is being implemented by the Directorate General of Training, provides training in a variety of trades for various periods of time, ranging from six months to two years. It is available to people who have finished grades 8, 10, or 12, and it is largely delivered at government-run and authorized private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Following examinations and testing, trainees receive credentials that are nationally recognized.

Urban Policy & City Planning is an online one-month online immersive certificate training course organised by Center for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies at Impact and Policy Research Institute, IMPRI, New Delhi in the month of July 2023. Urban Policy & City Planning is an online one-month online immersive certificate training course organized by Center for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies at Impact and Policy Research Institute, IMPRI, New Delhi in the month of July 2023. An informative and panel discussion on the topic “Urban Policy & City Governance in New India: Challenges & Opportunities” was held on July 26, 2023, by Dr M Ramachandran Former IAS officer and Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

The third session of the program was taken by Dr Arjun Kumar, Director at IMPRI and Bhanvi, Researcher at IMPRI. He discussed on the topic of Monitoring and Evaluation in Practice &; Reporting &; The Statistical System in India and an Introduction to Various Official and Other Databases. Inaugurating the session Fiza Mahajan, a researcher at IMPRI, welcomed the speakers and participants to the program with an introduction to the eminent panelists.
